Have you heard of Kotor?

Nor had I until this article.

I have a friend now living in Serbia and one or two shots she put on my computer a couple of years back show the type of place Eastern Europe can be.  Personally speaking, Switzerland is fabulous, Spain can be fun but the Eastern nations are both exotic and still relatively unknown to the bulk of western populations.

I’d imagine holidays or extended stays in these places could be wonderful experiences.

I have heard of Kotor although I haven’t been there. The places in that area are idyllic, it was one of my favourite regions to visit before the troubles. I got out of the habit and and haven’t been back although it is high on my list 🙂

I do have quite a few photos of the former Yugoslavia, but they are all on film so I would have to scan them in. This post has just reminded me of the small Russian Church in the Julian alps.
