Heads are harder than doors

With JD having gone a bit quiet of late, I wrote to ask him if he was OK.ย  When his reply came, did I show sympathy?ย  Well yes, a bit but the raving journo in me couldn’t resist asking him to turn it into a blogpost so, after some cajoling, here it is below [chuckles quietly to himself]:

Never ask a question like that, you might get an answer

Woke up this morning on the kitchen floor, which was odd because I had already woken up half an hour earlier in bed and come downstairs for breakfast.

Doc said I had a sudden fall in blood pressure which prompted my own sudden fall. He also said: ‘Sorry I can’t do anything for your cupboard door.’

Fortunately my head is harder than that door. I’ll see him next week for another check. Meanwhile he changed my BP tablets.

Perhaps it depends where you live but I have found my local doctor and nurses to be first class. I don’t recognise the horror stories in the press (which applies to lots of things, not just the NHS).

I’m OK.

There will be no loss of blogdrivel.

JD, Are you sure you hadn’t hit the Ardbeg too hard?

falling down after a wee dram or three is perfectly acceptable; it’s normal for heaven’s sake ๐Ÿ™‚
