Well it is still cold here in the frozen north and we will be needing our personalised central heating for a wee while yet.
With the blogchef on strike I need emergency sustenance so….
A couple of large parsnips, some of those big flat breakfast mushrooms, add a thumb sized chunk of fresh root ginger; boil the lot with a stock cube (no careful measuring of ingredients hereabouts, it’s all guesswork.)
Then whizz it around in the blender.
Season to taste and enjoy.
Finish off with a glass or two of this
