Cremation of dull care

Angus draws our attention to a burning issue:

The cost of cremations is going up – because of toxic mercury fillings in the teeth of the dead.  By 2013 all UK crematoria must have filters to stop the metal leaking into the atmosphere when bodies are burnt.  Already Barnsley Council has increased fees by £18 to cover the added cost.

Damn.  Here am I, another day closer to death and the cost of the bloody thing goes up.  Well, never mind me – just leave me at the side of the road to rot and I promise I shan’t come back to haunt you later.

Sorry if that … er … put you off your breakfast.

Bring out your dead! or you could donate your body to medical science, apparently there is a shortage of ex-people for them to practise on.

Funny they’re horrified at amalgam fillings and at the same time we’re forced to buy mercury-vapour light-bulbs, apparently so toxic that you aren’t allowed to take them to the skip.
