Palestine – the Left has backed the wrong horse here

Israel:

Palestine:

It was fascinating watching the left squirm out of this one. The story, of course, was the Palestinian condemned to death for selling his house to a Jew.

For a start, what is any religion whatever doing condemning someone to death for having something to do with a foreigner? This is what the Palestinian policy is, which is based on Islam and what does that say about Islam? What compounds it is that the Left in Britain, e.g. through the PCS, chooses to back and send money to these oppressive regimes – members’ money that is, not unlike Osborne choosing to send millions of your money to the IMF, whether you want it sent there or not.

So, in the light of the death sentence for freedom of association and economic activity, what is it again the Left say about equality, fairness and tolerance? What is it they preach to us ad nauseam? And how do they square that with giving money to people who oppose their world view, i.e. to regimes which don’t support equality, fairness and tolerance?

One commenter wrote:

And where are all the lefties to condemn that please?! No doubt they will perversely find fault with Israel somehow still.  [Joseph, Southport]

And:

So, wonder what Ken Livingstone, the trade unions and the rest of the PCS think of their ‘friends’ and really, what would you expect from people who have their kids re-enacting suicide bombings is school plays and learning from text books which demonise other religions. [Colin, Wales]

OK, time to hear the Left’s response:

More pro-Z*onist, pro-Isr*HELL propaganda. You even had to put the headline in inverted commas because it’s still unverified . Instead of taking sides by making the thugs in the White House and their Z*onist chums who deep down illegally occupy P*lestine look like the good guys who cherish human life, why not clue yourselves up on the history of this mess? [Andy, Leeds]

Never let facts get in the way of a renewed opportunity for bile and hatred, eh?   When Hitler is taken to task for murdering six million Jews, would you accept his defence that the Jews are responsible for everything?  When Stalin is condemned for Katin and the murder of tens of millions of his own people, would you accept the defence: “Well you’re not so perfect yourself.”  Does that wipe away one iota of his guilt?

The Leftist was correct about the thugs in the White House though.  From Clinton to Bush to Soetoro, they’re all under the thumb of the thuggish PTB.  No one’s disputing that here.  What we want you, a Leftist, to do, my friend, is to give your explanation of why you fund such murderous regimes.

Now, about the history:

87% of ‘Palestinians’ are immigrants from surrounding Arab states and were not born in what is today referred to as ‘Palestine’. There has been a continuous Jewish presence in Israel for over 3000 years; the Palestinians didn’t even exist until 1967. As Whalid Shoebat rightly asks; “Why was I Jordanian in 1967, then overnight I became a Palestinian?”

Canaan was certainly in the region though.  The “Palestinians” are not Canaanites [I have this long article ready to go should that be disputed].  What Shoebat actually said:

“Why is it that on June 4th 1967 I was a Jordanian and overnight I became a Palestinian?”  “We did not particularly mind Jordanian rule. The teaching of the destruction of Israel was a definite part of the curriculum, but we considered ourselves Jordanian until the Jews returned to Jerusalem. Then all of the sudden we were Palestinians – they removed the star from the Jordanian flag and all at once we had a Palestinian flag”.  “When I finally realized the lies and myths I was taught, it is my duty as a righteous person to speak out”.

Auni Bey Abdul-Hadi, Syrian Arab leader to British Peel Commission:

There is no such country as Palestine. ‘Palestine’ is a term the Zionists invented. There is no Palestine in the Bible. Our country was for centuries part of Syria. ‘Palestine’ is alien to us. It is the Zionists who introduced it.

Professor Philip Hitti, Arab historian:

There is no such thing as Palestine in history, absolutely not.

The chairman of the Syrian Delegation at the Paris Peace Conference in February 1919 stated:

The only Arab domination since the Conquest in 635 c.e. hardly lasted, as such, 22 years.

This goes on and on. I’m afraid the Left has backed the wrong horse here.

Of course there was a bloody Palestine: it’s the Roman name for the area, derived from the Philistines, an Indo-European speaking mob who used to control the coastal stretch – see the Bible.

And the rest of this post is one of those stupid games where people try to derive facts from wordplay: bonkers. The reason the British mandate authorities had such problems was that the resident Arabs – call them what you may – were pissed off at the Zionist immigration: they feared they’d be shoved aside. Can you wonder?

The fact that the Palestinian politicians have proved a vile, incompetent, murderous bunch doesn’t alter those facts.

I think derieme might have it right about Palestine.

If I get it right, even before WWII there were jews in palestine and more moving in. The Brits were administering the area. There were these islamicist terrorists called the “black hand” who discuraged jews from staying by murdering them and their families. There were also Jewish underground “milita” formed to counter the killings. There was an arab uprising and lots of people were killed on all sides, after that the brits tried to disrm everyone and limit immigration.

In the war the Nazi’s pored lots of cash and propaganda into the Islamicist “Arab nationalists” and some of the philosophy rubbed off.

The war turned everything on it’s head. After the war Zionist terrorist groups Lehi and Irgun made it too expensive for the Brits to administer after bankrupting themselves, basically drove out the Brits and formed the state of Israel.

I am sure they all thought they were freedom fighters and talked about omlets not being made without cracking eggs and realpolitic.

What is it they say about fox hunting?

Maybe one day the hating will stop?

Actually, Dearieme does not have it right and I’ve begun preparing a series of posts on this very topic. While he’s not right, he’s also not wrong – more on that when the first post comes up. As you can gather, this is a researched one and takes time.

Hating won’t stop because 1. the secular Jews like Nethanyahu have an agenda, in line with the PTB in America [not the govt per se] 2. the Muslims are maniacs about their hatred.

In fact, Christians expect that it will come to war and then that’s the end times. They’re well aware in Jerusalem and that’s why the East Jerusalem rebuilding is such a worry – it reverses the policy which saw peace there for so long.

OK, finished the post, it’s in draft and need to find a time to schedule it – probably tomorrow. I warn you, it’s long. ;-)
