Father’s Day

Had to smile at these from Chuckles earlier:

# Who did Prince Harry send a card to today then?

# Fathers Day has brought mass confusion to the streets of Liverpool this morning…..

As this is such an auspicious occasion:

# Is this the day Rachida Dati finally discovers who the father is?

# Will Hollande finally marry one of the two and resolve the First Lady question?

# What percentage of fathers in the UK are also still wedded to the mother and enjoying Father’s Day as a family?

Just asking like …

It’s difficult not to be negative, given the state of affairs in our society.  I was going to post on this ludicrous article by a feminazi in the Telegraph, complete with the retorts from the men she was having a go at and then thought – no, couldn’t be bothered any more.

That last question above is quite seriously put, not just as a joke.  I wonder if the things in the MSM, e.g. the Telegraph and Guardian are representative or not?  Just how many normal families are still out there in the UK, with fathers, not as some wimpy metrosexual but as a proper man?  And can this “normal family” now be termed normal any longer?

Here’s raising a glass to those fathers today actually being fathers.

I didn’t know it was Father’s day. I was in the park all morning with my daughter; climbing, slides, model train and horse and cart rides. Toddlers make a great work-out.

    I didn’t know it was Father’s Day

That’s because the father is the least appreciated unit in the family. With the equivalent in Russia, I’d always ask the girls what they had planned for Feb 23 – most hadn’t even thought about it. I then said well, you probably don’t care much for March 8 either, I suppose but they didn’t like that.

Many moons ago, we had Christmas around at my second cousin’s place and there was the usual hoopla, with the kids the focus with the grandparents and so it should have been. I kept bringing drinks to the host who was off cooking and asking if he was all right and could I get him anything? He must have thought me really strange but that’s just me – I go into a situation, see who’s getting all the attention and then give it to the least attention receiving.

Have to admit – it’s a bit “you take the high road and I’ll take …” If the man became the centre of attention, I’d give mine to the woman or the cat.

In the shop yesterday, despite signs all over the place, I wasn’t aware either until some ladies drew my attention to it, so that’s the other side of the coin and there were many buying for Sunday, to be fair.

On “Who did,,,” Mean cheap shot, not very funny.

If you look at his eyes and some other facial features you can clearly see Charles. He also has a Spencer look.

It’s so obvious that Harry is what’s-his-mame’s.
