Gershwin III

Until I started searching for good recordings of Fascinating Rhythm I’d no idea that Percy Grainger wrote some Gershwin arrangements. Wotcha fink of ‘em?

First ‘The Man I Love’.

Then ‘Love Walked In’.

Then a two-hander (well, literally a four-hander) Porgy and Bess.

And now commenceth my Summer break.

Top two excellent. One is running a risk with 4 hands [P&B] if there is a technical difference between the two players – there appears not to be which I can discern – again excellent.

You have a well-deserved summer break, Dearieme. The music has been a pleasure. The commentary of late has been much appreciated too.

May I echo James’ comment. I relish these musical slots and like to think I’ve widened my interests, especially the jazz which I’ve enjoyed immensely.

    Have a good break.

No, I did not know that either. They’re excellent.
