… not ours to know but to observe and tell
As we’re currently speaking of beauty and its absence:
Thank God they were kept away from Greenwich, eh?
yes, very elegant
this ‘sport’ was invented by Spike Milligan. In his war memoirs(sic) he wrote that in Tunisia, during R&R, they would relax in the Med and Spike invented a game whereby he would submerge himself and then sing a song and the other squaddies had to guess what the song was from the bubbles…..
well it’s no sillier than synchro
Not a very photogenic sport…
Following JH’s response to a recent question of mine, I’m campaigning for sexual equality, and men’s synchronised swimming as an olympic sport.
I really want to know why they try to look so ugly? The make-up, the expressions, the hands clenched as claws and the gnarled feet at grotesque angles – who told them there was any beauty in it? Who devised the points system in this “sport”?
