    The Faeroes are interesting to me for a strange reason – they were a major part of my book, with your truly having never gone there. And having never gone there, the research took a long time to get it more natural.

    Still not sure if any valley exists like the one I described on the west side but one can only hope.

    Amazing pictures. Were there forests when the Norse settled it, or is this as they saw it?

    No forests in the Faroes – nor Shetland, nor Orkney nor Lewis nor Harris.

    Fetch from Norway, probably, or Britain or Ireland. The Greenland Vikings used to fetch from Labrador.
