Thought for the day

From Karl:

The real scandal here isn’t, in my view, whether Petraeus was having an affair or even if he disclosed classified secrets to his mistress.

Indeed, that’s one of the things you have to assume when there’s a “honey” involved; “honey pots” are by definition dangerous from a operational security point of view in that in the purely-mundane view with zero intent to disclose you might talk in your sleep and as such anyone you share a bedroom with could plausibly hear something that you know and is classified!

No, the real scandal here is that our so-called “Chief Spy” is too functionally-illiterate in cyber-security to manage to send a message to his mistress that is end-to-end encrypted and thus unreadable by the FBI.

“our so-called “Chief Spy” is too functionally-illiterate in cyber-security…”

What really annoys me about these guys is the way they are killing the delightful art of parody.

That was my immediate thought too. Now it ‘s been revealed that Petraeus and Broadwell were leaving some e-mails in draft in an account both could access and read, without the mails being sent…..and considered this “safe”. LOL!!

It’s getting more loopy by the hour!

Now it seems another General – Gen. Allen has sent 20,000 to 30,000 e-mails, over 2 years, to the other woman in the picture, Jill Kelley. Some of them apparently flirtatious.
What the heck were the others? A full copy of Obamacare and the tax code for bedtime reading?

Even the Monty Pythons couldn’t have dreamed up something this ridiculous!

Nothing is unreadable to the FBI. Nor the CIA. Nor to a host of other ‘institutions’ such as Facebook (wholly controlled if not owned by the CIA) and Google (which knows where you go to today and yesterday and last week and everyday for the past five years.)

Many a man has succumbed to the wicked femme-fatale. Many a man becomes a goose and/or a gibbering idiot. Vive la biologie!
