As you should (even in the decadent and dying West) realise there is only One Glorious Light in the truly enlightened Peoples Republic and all others are dimmed in His Presence.

    10 000 Years!
    10 000 Years!

I love ’em so I like ’em!

One thing that I was always quietly proud of in a patriotic sort of way was the fact that UK motor ways are lit up at night, unlike our ghastly European cousins who expect you to blunder round in the dark.

“UK motor ways are lit up at night”

Many parts of Motorways in Scotland aren’t (still part of the UK and I am sure going to remain so, unless England, Wales and Northern Ireland kick us out).

At least there is one place for a telescope without light pollution but the getting in and out again might be a little problematic.

You mean, Don QuiScottie, that you’re not all going to follow Bonnie Prince Alex onto the fields of Culloden?

  8. Don QuiScottie December 12, 2012 at 20:23 Permalink

Well I mean that I will be very surprised if the Scots vote for Fat Alec’s plan. And do remember Bonnie Prince Charlie’s rebellion was a West Coat uprising against many other Scots as much as anyone else. My Perthshire village was burned to the ground by the Wild Neds from the West (nothing much has changed). As we and others have discussed elsewhere – “Whose History?” should be believed. There were many Scots fighting alongside the English at Culloden, which was most definitely not a fight between the English and the Scots (not that I was there mind, so maybe it didn’t even happen at all :) Anyway… I suspect you are going to have to put up with us for a lot longer. Sorry about that.

As for me (sorry, I should just answer the damn question eh?)… I rather suspect I will not vote, or will vote No. Fat Alec had a chance with me a few years ago but he has blown it with lots of ridiculous decisions recently about what was being proposed. So I will be either alongside the redcoats at Culloden, or at home hiding behind my lady.

But I might change my mind.

Fat Alec’s plan languishing at about 30% support and falling.

Dare I suggest that there is some common sense at large up there in the mists of Scotland? Or to put it another way, is a Scot canny?

  11. Don QuiScottie December 12, 2012 at 21:09 Permalink

Suggesting common sense may taking things too far James.

I am astonished that Al Gore and his cronies have not suggested giving North Creer a Nobel Prize for saving electricity and therefore reducing its global warming impact.

It’s a good point,King of the Grail. And following the North Korean model would mean we could in any case draw an endless supply of energy from the sunshine shining out of our leaders’ arses.

DQS, we’re all to be put into compounds creating our own clean energy and procreating with the partners allocated to us by the authorities….that’s me for the death camps then!
