Feeling peckish?

This would ordinarily be quiz time but I don’t have enough material and am not at the computer long enough these days to run two per week. Monday’s will remain but Thursdays is going to be something culinary.

So let’s start with Chuckles’s contribution

Now to lunch today and how quick and easy it can be – Chinese chicken:

Finally from me, the snack station:

The two orange toppers are cinnamon and nutmeg for the coffee.

English chish’n’fips a deux fresh from the fryers. And one portion was a freebie so it tasted even better. Luverly!

Kicking myself that I did not get potato wedges today, meant to have them and am now empty. Envious.

As my Gran-in-law used to say “If we are spared, there’s always tomorrow!”

You snack on toilet tissue? Tasty! I have heard about the British palate. I tell people, ‘ Nooooo. I see and hear what these folks eat, they are quite well fed and have sophisticated palates.’ Now I am just not so sure. Toilet tissue, really?

Wondered who’d be first to mention that.

Yep, loo roll stew, very popular around these parts, ma’am. Disintegrates nicely if marinaded.

Burnt ends are the best, whether brisket or smoked pork.
Just need some Carolina red slaw to go with it.

Is that what England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales….uh, uh, I do not want to hurt anyone’s feelings, I know, I will just say Great Britian!!! Is that what Great Britian uses for a little roughage to help digest all those yummies above? Brisket…Chinese Chicken which does a gal choose? I know, both! After all, I am a chubby American. Yum.

We all throw in a toilet roll though to give it that extra something.

    August is boiled peanut season.

    Overnight peanuts taste the best.

      Overnight, eh?

Food that sits overnight always tastes better, whether it’s the peanuts, homemade slaw, chili, etc.
        Brings out the flavour.
