Well at least that gave me a good chuckle – not something Mother Theresa has ever done…

I’d rather our politicians be colourful characters than dull grey in thought and imagination. I’m old enough to remember Harold Wilson appearing on a chat show and the pursing of lips which followed. My only worry is that Boris is a plan B, unleashed upon us all in a final desperate bid to stop Brexit. In short, I have little trust in the whole bunch.

For once, I have some personal experience relevant to this

My conclusion was that Boris – as a politicians – is very clearly A Front. Therefore his personal qualities are pretty irrelevant, except insofar as they enable him to function as A Front. When it comes to things important to his backers, BJ will do as he is told – as we have seen. Of course I don’t know who is behind him, but I am sure they are evil-motivated in the usual way.

This does not make him worse than the alternatives, but then in mainstream politics all the available alternatives, without any exception, are aiming at the same basic destination, merely suggesting different routes.

Interesting that the suggestion was made that he would have to ‘clear’ the plan with Nigel first. Either they really do not want control to pass to him and his backers … or else he is actually the backer, or Arron and co are.

      We watch and eat popcorn.
