The Clowns at the Capitol

Didn’t really have anything for 18:00, didn’t have any music, had run a film already … hmmm. Let’s do a reaction to the risible House rubbish today, ignoring May’s last whimper:

Wow, just watched the first – the highpitched female shouting in her whiny voice, he ignores her – lol.

Meanwhile, Johnson worries me as PM – neither he nor Hunt agreed to tackle the invasion elephant in the room.

There’s a lot to worry about. There’s the fact that he’s a proven pathological liar. There’s also the fact that he cheerfully admits that he has no principles.

Would a man like that betray you? You bet he would. If there was an advantage to him he’d betray you in a heartbeat. Even by Tory standards he’s untrustworthy.

And yet many people are willing to follow Boris Johnson. I have never been able to see or understand the nature of his appeal.

The first thing is that there’s no immediate choice, only at the ballot box or the extremely unlikely rising in the streets.

But he knows he has only till Oct 31 in the public eye. After that, no one can do much anyway until a GE and so he’ll present something which he’ll call No Deal but actually it will be WA2, only not in those words.

Watch for the lack of apoplexy in the EU politburo – good indication.
