    A gyro does not guide a rocket. A single, vertical axis gyro can tell the rocket guidance system that the rocket is falling over, and thus correct the tilt by skewing the rocket exhaust, or if going fast enough adjusting wings, fins, whatever. Basically a plumb line unaffected by g forces.
    Additional orthogonal gyros can tell the guidance system if the rocket is heading in the desired direction.

      (Perhaps it guides it by being immobile, sort of a ‘zen’ kind of guidance?)
