Nobody’s in love this year …

… not even you and I.

To say I’m appalled is the understatement. This might also annoy readers who’ve done similar. I can’t help that, I have to tell it as I see it.

Genuine champion for a decade and more, now retired, every award in the book, you know the score:

She was into this fashion design thing:

He became a male model through her, they had the celeb wedding:

No church wedding, not sanctified, shan’t dwell on that.

Their home out in the hills overlooking the bay, not far from my step-whatever’s ranch – stupendous home of course. Her people were constantly on about glam and how gorgeous she was, I followed Cats TV and thought he was up himself, where once he’d been shy.

Other players made fun of his filmstar lifestyle. I started getting worried. She was interviewed, didn’t want to be overshadowed, he was reticent to speak.

The glam player was then retired by the club itself – ouch – no more star quality, she had the first, then second child.

The article above calls her “fashion influencer Nadia Bartel”, some of her views were so prog, like Sparkle, I heard him on some political issues – what a tosser, stick to football, Jimmy.

Looked one day at their home a couple of years back. Er … former home. In new digs apparently.

Then again.

I remember thinking hmmmmm – these two need to be very careful, too much King and Queen, with their own sycophantic entourages, each being told how grand and how right each was.

And so yesterday, it hit the media. Some family friend said, ‘No, they’re done.’

What sort of an attitude is that?

Marriage amongst the glitterati is just a business arrangement. No “forsaking all others and cleaving only unto” anymore because it doesn’t apply in the religion of “do what thou wilt”.

As long as they love themselves all day long, there will always be someone.
