That isn’t simple enough for politicians to understand – it has long words in it. That is why they didn’t understand the referendum results.

Maybe they should all read Cromwell’s speech.

The tribe will not tolerate any such thing.

No deal was always the best deal so chances are slim. Also, and just a guess from a guest, the political establishment would prefer wreaking the country to making a good thing work so if you do not have an honest man at the top like Rees-Mogg it will go haywire anyway.
Tocqueville wrote that great men were adverse to lending themselves to the stains of democratic government except in times of crises, so maybe you have that.

    And long time no Tocqueville.

Tocqueville is never far away. You would love his descriptions of the contrasting faults of the British and the French. Lately I’ve learned that Brave New World, which is superseding 1984 in relevance, is applied Tocqueville.

That first line reads like an Americanism to me. Can’t they get someone who speaks British English to do their posters?

An Americanism, oh noes, canโ€™t have that! ๐Ÿ™‚

I for one appreciate their interest and think they appreciate ours. Methinks the US UK connection needs fostering, given the political circumstances.

At least many Americans have initiative to make a poster, whereas many Brits sit back and whine about those with intiative as they wring their scawney hands about what is going on in their cherished and holy land.

The whole world can go to Hell if it is not the replica of a certain somebody we all know and could never please. So, why botha?

Apparently, the Brits are all alike, just as all Americans are all alike. At least we ALL have initiative, seeing how we Americans are all alike and all….well, some do…we all do…most of us do… especially getting our assistance….lot’s of initiative for that….all for one and one for all and all of that jolly rot.
