Tuesday three

1. The illumined Gabbard:

So many, including me originally, fell under her spell – the prettiness, the sane voice, the attack on Clinton for all the right reasons, she’s taken in the Z Man:

But more closely observing what is coming out about her, a quite different picture emerges – a woman who sold her soul early in Hawaii, deep connection with Pelosi and don’t forget Obama is from there too.

She’s far worse than the Dem loons whom no one would elect – she’s the sleeper awakened at the last moment. Big statement about not being at the debate and why, things done in the background, suddenly she’s there at the debate, dressed in all-white, not unlike Saruman.   Military background – votes leaked across there, Dems sick of the loons running the DNC, last minute swing back to what Z Man calls traditional Dem positions.

I’d say she’s the last throw of the dice, their best yet and the Donald has a fight on his hands but too early for that to be vindicated of course.

Boris might be wagging his tail after bringing back the stick, only problem is – it’s the wrong stick!

5. Surprising from haiku:

The mark of the beast ?

Revelation 13:16-17 King James Version (KJV)

16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:

17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

Re 6 – Life expectancy is more important than specific cause of death (which may be hard to define properly); we all die of something.

Most people would prefer heart disease to kill them than cancer, but that is the main ‘choice’ or ‘trade-off’ as major cause of death between developed nations.

The differences among developed nations are very small – and much could be explained by differences in diagnosis, data collection methods and proportion and origin of immigrants.

e.g. WHO for men – difference between Japan (top 80.5) and us (20th 79.4) is just 1.1 years – i.e. just over one percent life extension in Japanese men compared with Brits (even if the numbers are correct). Big Deal…

Japan eh? Despite earthquakes, typhoons, tsunamis and radiation.

      I’d prefer heart.

    Best uses for a pumpkin?

After Halloween, you can often get them free, and as I found last year, you can make an acceptable white wine from one!

Oh, for a moment, I thought you’d written, ‘You can set them free.’

Only issue with that is they lie in wait and trip up unassuming haggises romping past.
