Mine’s always been Bookman Old Style. What’s that say?

      Worth a watch, imho.
Michele Bachmann at Phillip Haney Press Conference https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ADKdzw1FJ8Q [18 mins]

She was a Congresswoman pushed out because of her attempts to expose members of MB within the US Govt. Phillip Haney was the Whistleblower exposing the same thing. He committed suicide.

Pancake day: after decades of experimentation I can reveal that to our taste the best dressing for a pancake is a squeeze of lemon and a sprinkle of sugar. Even maple syrup isn’t as good.

Mind you, de gustibus non disputandum est.

Fonts are like clothes — depends on the mood, context, and what you’re trying to get across.

Always like a good classic like Bodoni, though.

I’ve given my thoughts on sans serif fonts here before. Helvetica would be banned in my republic

Bookman Oldstyle is one of my favourite serif faces, occasional use of the swash caps make it stand out from anything else. Whereas Times is well designed, good proportion between X and x height making it compact and readable. There are swash caps available for Times but they just don’t work as they do with Bookman, lipstick on a pig. As lordsomber says above, font selection depends on many things, Bodoni would work well where Rockwell wouldn’t. I worked in advertising pretending to be a typographer, the art directors often stipulated the fonts. They evidently had a very thin style reference book or lacked imagination.

When I have trouble getting off to sleep I count upwards and try to visualise each number in a particular type style. Not sure if it works as I usually fall asleep after a while.
