    Dear Mr. Higham,

Your blog entry on Florence La Badie propagates myth and untruths about Florence. Plus, you have ripped off copyrighted video from my website (Petticoat Camp).

Please correct your entry on Florence after reading the paper presented at the Women and the Silent Screen found at if after reading this and you still believe Charles Foster’s erroneous account, please contact me. Thanks!

The blog policy on such matters can be found in Policies under Other in the main navbar.

It reminds readers that the blog takes all reasonable precautions to avoid copyright and other issues but there are thousands of posts here and so the admin needs to be informed of such claims, as the above comment does.

The immediate concern are the words “ripped off”. As this blog is implacably opposed to “ripping off”, plus past actions show a swift response to questions of the kind, then the assertion amounts to either ignorance of how this blog operates or defamation of the blog admin.

      1. This blog has always resolved issues in a reasonable, courteous manner and most certainly not under duress or threat. It will never accede to duress or threat but will act swiftly, as stated a few times, to make necessary corrections, with apology, to the satisfaction of both parties.

      2. This blog insists on the right, under UK law, to have reasonable time to correct something requiring correction and that is held to be 24 hours normally. Were the admin away, say, on holidays, then that time might be a week but generally it would not be longer. The spirit behind this point is that matters will always be attended to as far as possible without delay.

As far as the Florence la Badie matter itself is concerned, it was attended to immediately on that day and apology was issued for any misunderstanding.

This now is an addition to the original reply, dated October 19th.

The NO article looks correct to me, not sure why I should believe the other paper more, which looks fabricated

Decision was taken here in 2014 not to commercially advertise any more.

Quite sure they’re fine products but there are legal, contractual reasons, since 2014, that N.O. cannot run ads, sorry.

Just to add – the previous blog theme used a Contact page which emailed me. With this new theme, now some months old, that form has disappeared and a new form has not been put in.

So now there is only the email address as you see it above.

I know, i know it’s acting up today. Seems no rhyme or reason. Comments are not lost though, they’re in the bin of all things.
